Establishing a consistent identity that reflects the value of Seoul’s historical and cultural heritage. To envision the future of the Han River—reclaiming its significance for Korea and reimagining it for generations to come—a new urban development strategy was initiated through the Master Plan for the Integrated Design of Hangang Park. This project included naming, logo design, and the design of signage and facilities, all aligned with a new design philosophy and vision. In 2008, following the master plan, the project moved into the next phase with the Implementation Design for Hangang Park’s Integrated Visual Identity, which aimed to bring the integrated image to life. Through these efforts, a unified identity was established that reflects the cultural and historical heritage of Seoul, and design guidelines were developed for each individual park to elevate the overall quality and character of Hangang Park.
